My therapeutic approach is based on trauma informed care and attachment theory. In therapy, I focus on physical, cognitive, behavioral, social and emotional capacity building and therapeutic adult-child interactions and relationships with an emphasis on meeting the needs of the whole child and family.

I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 2006. After working in social services for many years, I went back to school to obtain my Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Seattle in 2012.

My continuing education has included the Evidence Based Parenting Program, The Incredible Years and Promoting First Relationships.

My experience has predominantly been working with individuals, children and families around issues such as, family discord, child behavioral issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, school issues, parenting, reunification, and family domestic violence. I strongly feel that every behavior we do serves a purpose and the closer we are to understanding our patterns of behaviors the easier it is to make lasting changes. This I believe is true for adults and children alike.
