 Evidenced Based Parenting groups: Incredible Years

Incredible Years is an evidence based parenting program for children, 1 to 7 years of age. This program strengthens parent child relationships, reduces negative parent child interactions, and helps parents to support their children’s social, emotional and academic development while reducing negative or unwanted child behaviors.

Who should attend: Parents of children from age 1 to 7 years of age who want to understand the behaviors of their child, how to communicate with their child, how to bond and interact with their child and teach social and emotional development, as well as pre-academic skills and those who want to treat recurring problematic behaviors.


Program Length: 15 consecutive weeks. Groups are 2 hours per week.

Parenting Support and Education Groups

During the year, Transformative Counseling and Family Services offers a variety of groups to help support our clients and our community.

Private Sessions

Transformative Counseling offers a number of services in private sessions. For individuals we use the following modalities CBT, TF-CBT, Experiential, Attachment Theory and Behavior modification.

From a family systems perspective, we use such frameworks such as Structural Family therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. We also draw from and have training for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills.
